Market Day and Music Program

Today the fourth graders had market day.  They learn how to keep track of money in a checking account and if they have any left, after having to pay for not doing what htye are asked, etc., then they can sell and buy stuff.

Then they put on a music program about the pioneers and the state of Utah.

If you would like to see the field trip, market day, and music program they are in an album on my facebook account.

4th grade field trip to Antelope Island

Dale went on the field trip with Rachel.  We didn't think my knee could handle it.  They had fun.

Science Fair Project

Wow! Three posts in one day.  I must be crazy or something.  Here are pictures of Heather's Science Fair Project - "How Does Temperature Affect CO2 in Soda Pop".

Memorial Day

We have had an uneverntful weekend.  I pretty much have stayed home.  Went to the movie on Saturday and that just wore me out.  But "Night at the Museum 2" was great.

Here are some pictures of our day today.

Surgery #6

Here is what I get to wear on my leg for the next few weeks.  It is called a TED hose.  It helps to keep the swelling down in my knee.  Then here is a picture of the crutches I am on.  They are nicer than regular crutches.  They have springs on them, shock absorbers, and more comfortable under the arms.

The doctor found out that the cadaver plug he put in my knee at Christmas 2007 worked. We were afraid that it hadn't.  It was bone and cartlige.  He found a lot of scar tissue and that the cartlige had over grown.  So he cut off the scar tissue and smoothed out the cartlige.

We are so happy that the plugged worked.  I should be up and around in a week.  This surgery was 6 days ago.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day.

Been A While

It has been a while since I blogged.  Not a whole lot to blog about.  Just going about life as usual.  Chris is ready for school to be out.  First hour is a joke, just watching movies. The other kids are knee deep in Core Testing.  And it's only Wednesday.  It feels like it should be Friday.  This week is going sooooooo slow!

BARS and Awards

Heather and Rachel both came in 8th place overall for their age group.  Their team, "the Peak" came in 3rd place as a team.

These next five pictures are of Heather (beam, floor, vault).

GYMNASTICS

We had our last gymnastics competition ever.  Keep your fingers crossed.  The girls want to try something different.  We are going to try power tumbling and horse back riding.  I hope that it will be a fun summer.  Here are some pictures of their last competition.  They did rather well.  I love you Heather and Rachel and I am proud of all that you do.  You two bring joy into our family.

These first five pictures are of Rachel (beam, floor, vault).
