Random Pictures of Florida

Key Largo

We decided to take a day and go see the Florida Keys. It was a 5 hour drive down and 4 hours back.  It was a fun day and very pretty.  We had a hard time find a beach on Key Largo. Hotels and Condos all over the place.  You had to have a boat or jet skis to enjoy the water.

Discovery Launch

He's Back!

My hubby is finally home.  We have missed him this week.  The kids haven't seen him in two weeks.  I am just glad he is safe and home!

Florida

Dale and I left a week ago today for Florida.  The launch finally came through.  He won a SFA (Space Flight Awareness) award and was able to take his wife.  The original day for the launch was in November.  Four delays later it launched on Sunday March 15th.  It was awesome. As soon as I get the camera back from Florida I will down load pictures.

Talk at Church

I want to tell Nicholas how proud of him we are.  We don't say it often enough.  He gave a wonderful talk on Keeping Our Baptismal Covenants.  He is a great example to me and to the rest of the family.  Nicholas, I might be hard on you at times, but it is just because I love you!!

18th Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Christopher's 18th birthday two days early because we were in Orem with family.  I can't believe he is that old.  He got a new Star Wars game for xbox 360, season 4 of the Office, clothes, and a new cell phone (to him it is new, but it is my old chocolate).  We are so very proud of you Chris and all that you have done.  You are a great son and big brother.  Thanks for your examples to your borhter and sisters.  We all love you!!!!!

Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

Today at school the kids celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday. Part of that celebration was dressing up as a character from a book. Heather chose Alice Cullen from "Twilight" and Rachel chose "Cho Chang" from Harry Potter. Cho is a girl on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team that Harry likes in book 4 and 5.   Aren't they adorable? We are so very proud of our girls. They look so different with black hair.

RED

Kate is through and through a TRUE RED!
We did a personality color code at the RS birthday dinner. I am proud to be a red. I lean towards blue also. It was a fun night. Thanks Melissa, Kerry, and Teri for putting on the party.

Relief Society Birthday Dinner

We are doing our Relief Society Birthday Dinner celebration tonight. The presidency wants the tables decorated for each individual birthday month. My month is august and Linda Cutler, Wendi Davison, and I decided to decorate the table and make a cake as if we were at the beach. I made a sand castle cake. It looked okay, and then hurricane Kate hit. Needless to say I hope it tastes better than it looks. Here are some pictures before hurricane Kate hit.

KNEE SURGERY???

We really hope that a sixth surgery is not needed on my knee. I have been having problems with it for almost 8 years now. The first 3 surgeries were within 18 months of each other. The last two were just 6 months a part. I has only been 14 months since the last surgery. At that time I received a cadaver knee (bone with cartilage). The doctor is hoping the pain and swelling is just scar tissue irritating the knee. It is possible that I have ripped the cartilage out again (3 times is the charm). We are hoping that a cortisone shot will work. I give it a week and if not then we go for another scope. Wish me luck!;^)
