Birthday

Heather

Heather and Savannah

Today was my birthday. I share it with a lot of people: apparently Barack Obama, the Queen Mum, my cousin Mark, my nephew Joshua, my friends son Tanner Forrest, President Ezra Taft Benson, and this is also the day my great grandfather was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints- sometime in the ealy 1900's.

As a way to celebrate, Mailee Forrest, and I have tried to take our families to Willard Bay every year. She does a better job at it than I do. But we made it this year along with a few other families - Teri Creer, Kerry Dennison, and Shelly Estep. It was a fabulous day. The teenage kids had a blast with my camera taking pictures of themselves. I think they took like 50+.

I loved the company and all the birthday wishes.

More Bear Lake

Bear Lake

Beaver Mountain/Bear Lake

My sister, Ranel, has been in town for the past week. She is here from Wichita, Kansas. Her daughter, Alilia was sealed in the Bountiful Temple on the 18th of July. Alilia and Spencer were married June 2008 and made a promise that they would be sealed a year later. We are so excited for them.

Ranel is staying in Utah until August 1, 2009. While she is here my parents decided to go camping to Beaver Mountain. Darrin and his kids and Robert and Kathy went also. I decided to take which ever of my children that would go. Heather and Rachel went, Nicholas was going to but he hurt his back in football.

We had a wonderful time. I slept in a tent the first night with Rachel and then we all slept in a trailer the second night. It is hard to say it is camping when all the electronics are brought, but it was fun. It was very windy at Bear Lake on the 24th and threatened rain on the 25th but they all had a blast. I wish Dale and the boys would have come up on Saturday but they were cleaning house and working. Oh, well.

Bounce Back

Dale, Heather, Rachel, and I went to Lagoon on the 3rd of July. It was our bounce back from ATK Lagooon Day. It was a much funner day. At first we thought it would be crowded because of the holiday weekend. Most line waits were up to 10 minutes long or just get on the ride. The two longest waits were "Spider" and Wicked". We got Heather to go on "Rocket-Blast Off". She may never go again though. They loved "Cliff Hanger" even though they got drenched.

Nicholas wasn't able to go on ATK day because of Youth Conference. Neither one of the boys were able to go on the 3rd because of camping in Yellowstone. They did see two bears the last night and they were eaten by a bazillion mesquitoes. They are glad to be home.

Willard Bay was also fun on the 2nd.

Hope everyone has a HAPPY 4th.
